Airhearts was founded by lifelong athletes & coaches, Ashley & Mark Haupt, to provide an opportunity for a group of young basketball players to train & compete at the highest level.

We've both experienced how a great coach can affect your life and we strive to be that positive force for our players. As the parents of 3 children, we understand how to talk to young athletes on their level, engaging their curiosities and giving them the power of knowledge. And we're constantly thinking about how to challenge them, creating practice plans designed specifically for each individual team & player.

Coach Ashley's list of athletic accomplishments is lengthy and her wealth of knowledge about basketball history, strategy, coaching techniques & fundamentals is beyond measure. She's constantly expanding her knowledge base as a coach and player, exploring new ways to share those lessons with her players. And while this allows her to teach by example on the court, she cites her experiences growing up as the primary reason she's achieved great success as a coach.

 

Ashley's first experience coaching came at a young age, helping her parents coach Special Olympics athletes like her little brother Sean. Throughout her childhood, she watched her parents tirelessly volunteer their time to create special needs sports programs in their community. Helping someone else achieve their own personal greatness was fulfilling beyond measure.

 

And so it's not a surprise that after a successful career as a Creative Director, Ashley has found herself back in a gym, pursuing her passion for teaching basketball. Ashley has 30+ years of playing and 15+ years of AAU/travel coaching experience and is a USA Basketball Gold certified coach.
